Bay Area Air Quality Management District, yet to place more Asbestos monitors after 1 year

Over a year ago the Bay Area Air Quality Management District fined Lennar a Rogue Developer for over 400 Notice of Violations. The serious Violation carry a fine up to $10,000 and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District - chose to make a deal with Lennar and fine them $515,000 which is a measly fine compared to say $40 million - that would have taught this Rogue Developer a good lesson.

The year Lennar was fined Chris Daly and Jake McGoldrick two San Francisco - Board of Supervisors witnessed the people come before the Bay Area Air Quality Management District main Board of Directors and testify.

We came so many times that this led to the Director of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District - one Jack Broadbent to fine Lennar. The deal was made behind close doors without the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) Board of Directors - knowing about it.

Now, it has been over a year and Lennar has again and again defied protocol, an Ordinance that is law, the Dust Mitigation Plan all laid down in Article 31 on the San Francisco Health Department.

One Amy Brownell and one Dr. Rajiv Bhatia both work for the SF Health Department - the Environmental Department, have with intent sided with Lennar - because Lennar and the S.F. Redevelopment agency pays the SF Health Department - Environmental Department.

This remuneration by Lennar to the SF Health Department is an action crying to heaven for justice. These SF Health employees have BLOOD on their hands. This EVIL Department feels it is a greater benefit to be paid by the Rogue Developer, LENNAR - then the adverse impacts - impacted on innocent children, our elders, and San Franciscans in general.

Where is the City and County of San Francisco on this Health and Safety issue? Where is Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein on this health and safety issue? Where is the Environmental Protection Agency on this issue? Where is the Bay Area Air Quality Management District on this very important issue? Where are our Leaders on this issue? Where is everyone on this issue - our children and elders and slowly suffering and dying and no one in their right mind is doing anything - and all this right here in San Francisco.

Our Mayor is Gavin Newsom - he is busy screwing around and has just dropped off the Gubernatorial Race. One day he decided some days ago to go to Hawaii - hundreds of miles away an Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean - so Mr. Dipsitck just flies to Hawaii. His peons at City Hall - are at a loss for words - but, hold the fort because they are beholden to Mr. Dipstick the most immoral man this side of the Rio Grande.

Many MUNI buses every day sits inside the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - all covered by toxic dust and of course Asbestos Dust and even though I have brought this to the notice of the MUNI authorities - MUNI continues to expose thousands of innocent people taking the 19 Polk - the one that has its final bus stop a the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.

Now, everyone knows this is wrong - but MUNI and one Nathaniel Ford does not give a rat's ass.

The same is with the BAAQMD these EVIL people do not care about the People of Color living in and around Parcel A. Imagine being bombarded by Asbestos Dust and these folks not giving a hoot. More, defying the populace and daily bombarding them with Toxic Dust and Asbestos Fibers.

One Asbestos Fiber can kill you down the line. In Europe all Asbestos products are banned. There are very strict restrictions about Asbestos. Here in California the paradox is the rock from which Asbestos Structures are gathered is California's State Rock - the Serpentine Rock. If this is not a serious JOKE - I do not know what is.

Most people know some about the Asbestos Fibers inside homes and in places like Ships and so on - more, the commercial Asbestos. Very few know about the naturally occurring Asbestos Rock that is dense and if one does not contain the fibers by pouring millions of gallons of water - the Asbestos Fibers or Structures can cause very serious health affects and KILL you.

One has just to watch some one die of Asbestosis as I have many times.

It is such a unbearable torture and family members and health providers - suffer a lot - just aiding and looking after the patients. The fibers stick on the lining of the lungs and each time the victim breathes - the victim experiences thousands of needle pricks - very painful and what is more uncontrollable in nature. The fibers cause scars that constrict the lungs - making the pain all the more serious and painful. God forbid anyone that suffers from Asbestosis.

Lennar has poisoned our children.

Lennar has poisoned our elders.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors have been very slow to stop Lennar. It is after all a serious Health and Safety issue. The few SF BOS that have helped us have been nonchalant - had their own children suffered there would have been a hue a cry.

This time around we have two good SF Board of Supervisors - Eric Mar and Chris Daly at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) and they should force the BAAQMD to put the extra Asbestos Monitors and enforce the laws that the BAAQMD is not - enforcing.

Enough is enough - and Mr. Jack Broadbent from the BAAQMD - talks a good talk - but fails to walk the walk. As I said this nonsense must stop.
