Rainbow Theatre 16th season programs A&B

RAINBOW THEATRE, the only multicultural theatre arts troupe in the UC system will be kicking off there 16th season this thursday and continuing through the following weekend. In the tradition of Teatro Campesino, the San Francisco Mime troupe, and Theatre of the Opressed, Rainbow strives to bring the untold stories of people of color to light. This year Rainbow's plays are feminist oriented, focusing on issues of queer identity, domestic violence, rape, Abortion, interracial relationships, and Homophobic Violence. Help support a threatened student org. laugh and cry and share with the community

Rainbow first two programs this year will be performing double feature one act plays such as: Stop Kiss by Diana Son, St Lucy's Eyes by Bridgette Wimberly, In the Time of Rosalila by Fanny Garcia, and Poets Corner , collaborative poeetic perfromance written by students.

for 16 years Rainbow has been striving to bring radical issues affecting African American, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Chicana/Latina and Queer Communities.

This year Rainbow's plays are feminist oriented, focusing on issues of queer identity, domestic violence, rape, Abortion, interracial relationships, and Homophobic Violence.

Rainbow Theatre uses its earnings to provide college outreach programs for impacted High Schools in South Central Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
