Saving Main TV studio at Public Access in SF

by D. Boyer
The main television studio at the public access station in San Francisco can still be saved.

Many public access producers used the main TV studio at 1720 Market Street for their programs, but due to recent budget cuts that valuable resource may be eliminated for good, unless the studio can earn enough money to sustain it.
The folks at BAVC are very willing to try and make it work.
We have a plan, but its going to take everyone who cares about that studio to get involved.
The Main Studio can be used for:
1.) Public Access Producers to produce programs in a professional SD television studio, or
2.) Get trained/certified, which can be used as a revenue resource.(training can be used to learn new skills or as an intro to television production)
3.) Rent for an event or benefit, which can be used as a revenue resource.
4.) or Full service production, which can also be used as a revenue resource.

BAVC is holding classes in November to gauge the popularity of the studio.
This course is only for current and active SF Commons Members who would like to rent or utilize the equipment in our Main Studio.

The training and skills learned from the class can be used as a gateway to learn about television production, or used to enhance your public access TV program, and some of the conventions learned in the class can be used in the industry.
