Palestinian Youth Against Settlements, solidarity activists, demonstrate in Hebron

On Saturday, October 10, Palestinians, international activists, and Israelis took to the streets of Hebron to protest the settlements in Hebron and in Palestine. The settlements devide Hebron and give the excuse to the israeli military to establish many checkpoints that restrict the movements of Palestinians in Hebron.
many signs were held, among them those calling for the opening of Shohada st.-Hebron main street closed for Palestinian becuse of its near location to the settlers neighborhood.

while marching through the streets of Hebron, we walk by the settlers houses. above fences that defend the Palestinians who walk through here from garbage, rocks, and cleaning water, thrown by the settlers.

suddenly battles and bags filled with soap water land all around us. the settlers kids encourage by their parents laugh while they let go of tens of begs and battles hitting the streets around us. the Palestinian youth reply by cursing and chanting.

another view of the settlers district. to the right are Palestinian houses. the residents were evicted for living too close to the settlers. burning signs can be seen on the buildings.

one of the many checkpoints that divide Hebron and make it very hard if not impossible for Palestinians to walk or drive from one part of Hebron to another.
