Join the Raging Grannies and satire group "Billionaires for Wealthcare" to protest a Republican fundraiser in Menlo Park this coming Monday October 12 from 11:30am until about 12:30pm or so in front of the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park

Here's why this event is so important to attend:

The Lincoln Club of Northern California is sponsoring a fundraising luncheon with special guest speaker: House Republican Leader John Boehner for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Boehner recently said, "I don't know anyone outside of Congress and the administration who has mentioned wanting a public option." And this from someone who has only attended tea-party type health care demos! To show you how much we are needed to combat this lunacy, tickets for the lunch are $1000 per person and $10,000 to join the Host Committee.

If you can, Bring placards, if possible on a stick. The Grannies will supply some signs too. There is a wall about 8 ft high in front of the hotel we can hold our signs above them. Demand that Republicans get some morals and support real health care reform! We can also line the entrance to the hotel driveway.

Parking:
There is NO parking at the hotel for non-guests but plenty of parking ACROSS el camino in residential areas. You can then walk across at the traffic light.

Directions:Via Highway 101 Southbound:

Take the Willow Road exit (west) to Menlo Park
Make a left onto Middlefield Road
Proceed on Middlefield Road to Lytton Avenue
Turn Right onto Lytton Avenue
Follow Lytton Avenue through town until it ends
Turn right onto Alma Street
Alma Street will merge into El Camino Real
The Stanford Park Hotel will be the first driveway on the right


Via Highway 101 Northbound:

Take Embarcadero Road Exit (west) toward Stanford University
Follow Embarcadero Road approximately 2 miles to El Camino Real
Make a right heading north on El Camino Real
The Stanford Park Hotel is 1 mile up on the right hand side, just past the Stanford Shopping Center


Via Highway 280:

Take Sand Hill Road East exit
Proceed on Sand Hill Road approximately 3 miles until it ends
Make a left onto El Camino Real
The Stanford Park Hotel will be the first driveway on the right
