I'm agree completely with the Green party's endorsements . The KPFA bosses like Philip Malderi have only given token coverage to Green and Socialist candidates over the years. They have acted like the corporate media over the years in that respect .I heard Phelps, McCreadie and Woods on the air . All excellent in their very different ways . Phelps like a Peoples DA , Woods with his Louisiana (? ) accent like a radical Bill Clinton and Rahman Mccreadie like a smooth but sincere Alterative DJ .

KPFA Local Station Board

KPFA listener candidates - Only KPFA members can vote in this election; you should have already received a ballot in the mail if you are a member. Voters can rank up to 29 candidates, and there are 9 seats open, so be sure to choose at least 9; this is a ranked choice election, so you can't 'dilute' your vote by ranking additional candidates.

The SF Green Party has endorsed 10 of the candidates. Please rank the following 9 candidates in your top 9, in any order you prefer (they are listed here alphabetically): Jim Curtis, Adam Hudson, Rahman McCreadie, Henry Norr, Richard Phelps, Andrea Prichett, Gerald Sanders, Akio Tanaka, and Stan Woods.

Please rank Steve Zeltzer 10th*. In addition, we recommend that you do NOT vote for any of the 10 candidates on the Concerned Listeners slate, or that you rank them behind all 19 other candidates. The Concerned Listeners slate currently holds a majority on the KPFA board and has run the station in an undemocratic manner that has harmed programming diversity and worker rights. None of the Concerned Listeners slate chose to participate in the SF Green Party's endorsement process.

* - Sasha Futran originally sought our endorsement, and tied with Steve Zeltzer; after our endorsements were announced, Ms. Futran asked to be removed from our endorsement list.

When she heard that she was only voted tied for 10th with Steve Zeltzer, Sasha Futran sent a nasty message to the SF Green Party. She attacked the hosts, and almost every candidate that sought an endorsement, including her own running mates. Her vicious personal attacks were based on charges with no back up, many were clearly not true and the rest seemed exaggerated. It seems clear that she has little or no respect for some in her ICR affinity group.

We concur with the recommendations of the SF Greens . But we urge you to go a bit further and actively campaign for those candidates . They're up against the same ''Left '' Democratic machine that often trashes the Greens and Peace and Freedom parties . While it's true that not only the ''Concerned Listeners'' but the IndyRadio slate both sent out expensive slate cards it put the IndyRadio folks in serious debt while for the CL it was merely ''pocket change '' . After all they have two multi millionaires on their ticket .
Peoples Radio has had to rely soley on their ''sweat equity '' and a few small contributions . They have been all over the place campaigning for their program .
Both the ICR , the PR and Steve Zeltzer have been up against disinformation . The CL did get the Alameda County Labor council endorsement but that was easy since only the CL was allowed to make a presentation solicting that nod . More recently the Labor council sent out a email blast claiming that the anti-Cl candidates wanted all the KPFA Union staff to be fired and replaced with ''all volunteers '' ! A absolute lie as any investigation would show .No candidates or slates have taken that position . People should call the Labor council demanding a retraction .
In conclusion i hope the Greens will contact those candidates and offer to help in other ways , flyering , postering , $ . Those of us that love KPFA have a lot at stake in this election .
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
