Bil'in defies military repression, continues the weekly struggle against the wall
In the recent weeks repression against the struggle of the people of Balin has intensified by the Israeli occupation forces. Rather then embracing and supporting the commitment of members in the village to non-violence resistance the Israeli military has began a campaign of terror and intimation against Balin. Palestinian activists are beaten and arrested (many of them minors), their houses are broken into and trashed, and family members are brought into interrogation to pressure those who are resisting the occupation. Noticing the bad publicity that the struggle of Balin has imposed on Israel- exposing the Zionist regime as ignoring and fighting any Palestinian demand for rights (even non-violent), or as ignoring even the Israel High Court ruling that the building of the Bailin wall is illegal, the Israeli secret service took over the interrogation of people from Balin trying to crush the resistance to the occupation.
one of this attacks happened two days earlier when the military brutality beat a representative of the village and trashed another representatives house.

This recent escalation of attacks, however, did not stop the heroic resistance of the village of Balin where on Friday septenber the 11, the weekly demonstration against the apartheid wall took place, as it does every week.
another report by Roy Wagner reads:
"Over 15 Israelis and 15 Internationals joined a smaller than usual group of Palestinians for the last Ramadan Friday demonstration against the
annexation wall, nightly arrests and military brutality in Bil'in. The procession carried a few flags, after most of the flags and banners were
stolen by the army in its raid on Abdullah's house on Wednesday before dawn. The procession reached the fence gate, and speeches were made in
Arabic and Hebrew. The shabby stayed behind along the fence parallel to the road and tried to disperse with stones the gas grenade throwing
soldiers. The non violent demonstrators at the gate allowed the army three minutes to disperse. As the army failed to comply, demonstrators entered the space between the fences. The mutli gas canister cannon shot its load, and a few minutes later the demonstration was declared over."
