Hotel Hugo Victim of Eminent Domain

by D Boyer (dinaboyer2 [at] gmail.com)
Have you ever driven near the corner of Sixth and Howard Streets in San Francisco and noticed the refrigerator hanging out a window, or even a couch ready to be thrown from the roof?

The nearly dilapidated building that sits on the corner of Sixth and Howard Streets, will now parallel the fate of the various pieces of furniture being thrown from windows or the roof of a former Hotel.

It has become a victim of Eminent Domain and City Officials and The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency have plans to demolish it and make way for more affordable housing.
It is also the Defenestration Art Sculpture. For more information please go to the Defenestration website.

Defenestration is the art of throwing stuff [sic] out of the window.
