United Nations Accuses Israel of 'War Crimes' in Gaza
Breaking News: The United Nations Fact-Finding Mission in the Gaza Conflict has issued a report on "war crimes" by Israel.
The United Nations Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict has concluded that the Israel military committed war crimes during its siege on Gaza in December 2008 and January 2009.
“The mission concluded that war crimes, and possibly, in some respects, crimes against humanity, were committed by the IDF” [Israeli Defense Force], said the commission’s chairman, Judge Richard Goldstone of South Africa, in announcing the findings.
“The mission came to the conclusion that those attacks that had no military justification amounted to collective punishment and/or reprisals and constituted war crimes,” he continued.
Haaretz is reporting that the current Israeli government – which refused to cooperate with Judge Goldstone’s investigation and has called the report “one-sided” .....
