Author Harriet Rohmer launches her new book Heroes of the Environment: True Stories of People Who Are Helping to Protect Our Planet. The Junior Library Guild chose the book as a 2009 Featured Book. Environmental Hero Erica Fernandez, who, at the age of 14, helped stop an offshore mining operation off the coast of her hometown, Oxnard, will be in attendance to help Harriet in presenting the book to an audience of teachers, librarians, environmentalists, and activists, including kids of all ages.
