From Farm to School in Sunny Sunnyvale
Farm to School programs are gaining popularity in the San Francisco greater Bay Area. These programs connect schools with local farms to promote the of serving healthy meals in school cafeterias. The Raging Grannies came out on Labor Day to a farm tour Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale, California; the Grannies sang songs about improving student nutrition, elder nutrition and supporting local small farmers.

This Food is Grown Here (tune: This Land is Your Land)
By Raging Grannies
This food was grown here, it tastes so yummy
It keeps us healthy, it fills our tummies
When it's grown local, we know it's safe and good
This food was grown for you and me
The food from these farms, is raised with lovin'
We can eat IT raw, or use an oven
Don't need no airplane, didn't use no fos-sil fuels
This food was grown for you and me
Let's thank our neighbors, who raised the food here
In Sunnyvale and, in Santa Clara
There in Sa-LI-nas, or close-by Wat-son-ville
This food was grown for you and me.
