The San Francisco Folk Music Club, in association with The City of El Cerrito Arts and Culture Commission, presents the first-ever El Cerrito Free Folk Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 10 pm.
Open to the public, the daylong arts and music festival is free and will be held at the historic Windrush School located in El Cerrito. The event will feature performances and workshops by world renowned and local musicians alike, with a family program, open microphone and jam sessions, and much, much more.
Bands performing include Eric and Suzy Thompson, Leftover Dreams with Tony Marcus and Patrice Haan, Euphonia, Misner and Smith, Faith Petric, Duck River with Chad Manning, Jump-In, Khadejha Valere, Alan Smithline, Jugtown Pirates, and Happenstance.
