Tristan Anderson is a Bay Area activist and Indybay photojournalist who has reported on social protest in over 20 countries. He was taking photographs as a nonviolent demonstration in Ni’lin, Palestine was winding down when Israeli Defense Forces fired a high-velocity tear gas canister at him, smashing his skull into his brain and blinding him in the right eye. Israel has called his shooting an “act of war”, abdicating themselves of legal responsibility for the attack. Tristan has undergone multiple brain surgeries and remains in a Tel Aviv hospital six months later. Join us Sunday September 13th for a night of music, spoken word, stories and more as we gather to demand justice for those brutalized by the Israeli occupation.

Sponsored by Friends of Tristan and Palestine (justicefortristan.org) and International Solidarity Movement (norcalism.org). Contact 510-548-3113 for more info.
