Sacramento Copwatch will be holding a Know Your Rights training on Sunday, September 13 at 2:30pm at Cesar Chavez Park on I and 10th in downtown Sacramento. The event is free and open to everyone. Food Not Bombs will be serving food to all starting at 1:30, so arrive early if you want food. After that, we will have a long-time Copwatcher from Berkeley come out to drop some knowledge on us about the law, our legal and constitutional rights, what to do/not to do when talking with the cops, what cops are not supposed to stop us for but often times do, etc. Then, we will have a Police Observation training which will explain how to observe the police legally, whether it means watching or videotaping. We’ll do some role playing too, where you get to be a cop! FUN! All in all, the training should last roughly two and a half hours, so it will end around 5. So come out for some useful information and not to mention free food!
