Candlestick Recreation Area - the only State Park in San Francisco that brings in an income of over $1.2 million dollars is for sale. Senator Mark Leno has initiated Senate Bill 792 that will permit - the State of California to sell Candlestick Recreation Area for $1 million per acre to Lennar. Lennar is a Rogue Developer that has the worst reputation all over this Nation. However, Mayor Gavin Newsom, Mark Leno, Senator Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Sophina Maxwell and other too many to mention want to hoodwink the constituents of Bayview Hunters Point in broad daylight.
Lennar is a Rogue developer that will use the worse tactics to steal land in broad daylight. Now, Lennar has chosen to use Senator Mark Leno to steal Candlestick Recreation Area some 40 acres of State Land that comes under Public Trust Land laws, is governed by the Burton Act - Open Space that belongs to all Californians.
The Candlestick Recreation Area is the only State Park Land in San Francisco. The first of its kind. It is heavily used for all Recreational purposes.
Senator Mark Leno should be ashamed of himself. This one act personifies all that Mark Leno stand for. He has not passed one single legislation that has benefited the Bayview Hunters Point or for that matter people of color.
Now this Queer, White man who has been fighting for other causes and losing but has not ONCE stood up for the poor or people of color in the Bayview Hunters Point. He has not held ONE SINGLE PUBLIC MEETING. Mark Leno, has connived with the most dubious characters and that includes the master of them all Willie L. Brown Jr. to steal State Park land and give it to this Rogue Developer - Lennar.
Much the same at AT&T was taken and given to the Giants. AT&T Park came under the SF Port Authority, was Public Trust Land - and Willie L. Brown Jr. used his sordid influence and wrote legislation to facilitate that sale.
The Bayview Hunters Point community is not fully aware of this THEFT. But, once the people come to know about it - all hell will break loose. A long time ago I wrote about Senate Bill 792 and warned everyone about it.
However, in today's world most people are not cognizant of the process and how evil legislation can be passed when Legislators are not for the people but live and work in Sacramento to rake in the millions. These are the same people - of the ilk - that sold human organs to make money. They will sell their mothers for a pound of flesh.
The Candlestick Recreation Area is used by thousands and most of them have no idea that this deal is going on. The few that found out are so angry. So, wait until the day comes when people will not be able to use this only State Open Space that is being stolen without DUE PROCESS and given on a platter to the most devious developer in the Nation - Lennar.

Lennar has no money - but will borrow money to commit crime. This happened when the community fought for affordable housing - the same concept that is used today by the Stimulus Plan. The community initiated Proposition F and I was one of the proponents.
Lennar spent over $5 million to fight the community with Proposition G and Arc Ecology was and is still with Lennar and the evil cronies that support all that Proposition G stands for.
Today, Arc Ecology and one Art Feinstein from the Sierra Club have anointed themselves to represent the people. Arc Ecology's Director, Saul Bloom aka David Saleman and Art Feinstein his side kick have being meeting behind close doors - working out a deal.
If this is not a shame I do not know what is. Arc Ecology stands to rake in millions with the on going plans to clean Yosemite Slough and it is all about money and less about transformation of a toxic site. Arc Ecology has already raked in thousands from fiscal reports and data available on sites like Guidestar and some offices in Sacramento.
The Sierra Club can lobby in Sacramento and have an office but from the inception the Sierra Club has not take a united and firm stand on this issue. The only one with a whimper has been John Rizzo who wants the Candlestick Recreation Park area not to be sold. However, he has NOT spoken in the community nor written about it so that the world knows where he really - stands.
Tomorrow, in Sacramento, in committee this matter will be discussed and the position of Stop Lennar Action Movement (SLAM) is that NOT one single square inch be sold or polluted by Lennar a Rogue Developer.
Secondly, SLAM will not tolerate the Sierra Club or its handyman - Arc Ecology that DOES NOT represent the community making sordid deals with Mayor Gavin Newsom, Michael Cohen from the Mayor's Office of Economic Development and Work Force, and other side kicks like the SF Redevelopment Agency that has channeled thousands of dollars to Arc Ecology over the years.
Of course Sophina Maxwell, the District 10 Supervisor, who is on the take has a cozy relation with Arc Ecology. This woman is for the sale of the State Park. What else can one expect from such an inept person?
It is time for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Branch that deals with Environmental Issues to step in. For the Secretary of State and the Governor to look into the details of this SALE.
Michael Cohen, Mark Leno, and other crooks have been working behind close door to hoodwink the constituents of San Francisco for the longest time ever. It is a crime to zero in on State Park the only Open Space - poor folks can go and recreate in the Bayview Hunters Point by the Bay and deprive thousands of its USE.
Most of the other land by the Bay in the Bayview Hunters Point has been polluted by the United States Navy.
It is always a paradox when outsiders the kind of scum bags such as Arc Ecology and the peons from the Sierra Club who will step up and pretend they serve the better interests of the people when indeed they are helping in the THEFT of State Park Land that belongs to all Californians.
The Friends of Candlestick Park were once active and now resurrected but they do not have a clear written plan.
The one trip to Sacramento had Lennar providing the transportation which was kind of funny.
SLAM cannot be fooled and we could have busted the last meeting had it not been very clear - what was happening and the right signal given at the right time. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens some one was asleep at the helm of affairs.
Being vigilant does not mean vain talk but action. I was at the meeting held at the Executive Park, 5 Mellon Circle and spoke my mind. So, it is not as if I am stating something that others do not know what my position is. In this case I find the position of Arc Ecology and the peon from the Sierra Club are taking - contrary to the position of the community and they do not REPRESENT the community's position at all.
These two entities are ready to compromise - and give Lennar say 22 acres. We the community say NO to such a compromise. Lennar should not be part of any equation. Let them stay and wallow in the toxicity of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.
The community's position is that Lennar get NOT one square inch. Also, that Lennar should be removed from our community. It has been a bad neighbor and has with intent poisoned our children, our elders, and others in and around Parcel A and beyond.
Lennar was fine $515,000 by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District - August, 2008. Lennar paid the fine in September, 2008. They did this mostly because of SLAM and this time around we will do what is takes to sound the CLARION call and do what is necessary - at least those who are educated on issues.
