Why the gun imagery? Sure, I want to revolt to spread uncontrollably or whatever, but are automatic rifles historically or culturally associated with unmanageable rebellion? Automatic rifles seem more associated with cops, militaries, urban guerrillas, mobsters, and terrorists. Rioters and rebels here have tended more frequently to use other means.
Insurrectional ideas shouldn't just be an entryway into unlimited militantcy. We shouldn't be setting ourselves up for a situation where we "need to get serious" in a few years and form closed, armed groups. It's not just a matter of having cool pictures: The aesthetic chosen now will set a precedent in the future.
Also, by the way, you use that quote, "to become visible is to be defeated" or whatever it is. Doesn't doing a representational zine make you visible? I'm not even taking a side here and trying to denounce you for your efforts, it just seems inconsistent.

i agree with you for the most part. dont read too much into the ak.
in my neighborhood people are just into it. i mean hell i designed a shirt for a band and it had an ak on it and people who didnt even hear the band wanted to buy one because of it.
so its just design purposes, plus it was just black space at the last second. i dont know if youve ever made something like the rebel but lemme tell ya, at the end of it you just want it done haha.
also you sort of botched the quote it is "from now on, to be perceived is to be defeated." once again, it was just for aesthetics ,theyre pretty words.
but the actual meaning of it ,to us, is that we can't marginalize ourselves as simply a "movement" or a specialization. we have to be everything in the same breath. it was a quote directed at anarchists, and im sure if my neighbor saw it she would still ike the articles and just kind of glance over these words, like any other advert.
it was just kind of an artsy statement, but to us it definitely has real meaning.
on the concept of visibility, being "anonymous" means to be undefined. where youre not the radical niche, the anarchist threat or any other easily perveived subculture, you are just a body in a populous.
