Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in SF over 2 million tons of radiological polluting the area.

by Francisco Da Costa
Some photographs of San Francisco's Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The many radiological experiments mandated that the Shipyard is cleaned to residential standards. Proposition P mandated by 87% of the voters in 2000 - sent a clear message to the United States Navy. The Navy polluted the Shipyard and therefore the Navy should clean it up. The U.S. Navy wants to CAP the area and wash it hands.
Mayor Gavin Newsom has the responsibility NOT to pussyfoot around. He has the responsibility to persuade the United States Navy to clean up the entire Shipyard.

The U.S. Navy is bent on capping the Shipyard and leave over 2 million tons of mostly radiological material all over the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.

The Shipyard has been promised to Lennar a Rogue Developer. Right now Lennar the Rogue Developer has Parcel A and has bombarded the constituents of Bayview Hunters Point with toxic dirt, radiological matter, and of course Asbestos structures.

Lennar has not followed the Dust Mitigation Plan and has been fined $515,000 by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Lennar has over 450 Notice of Violations to its credit.

Lennar is comfortable building homes on mostly toxic land and has the habit of treating its customers like dirt.

Lennar has thousands of law suits against it. The latest using cheap sheet-rock from China and messing the health of innocent home buyers.

Lennar a Rogue Developer is into Land Banking. Once it gets the deed, divides the land, and sells it off to sub-developers. Makes some money and leave town.

At Mare Island Lennar promised to build 10,000 homes. After 10 years it had nothing to show - and declared bankruptcy. It will do the same at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.

Hunters Point is a toxic waste land and needs to be mitigated and abated as soon as possible.

Over 200 tons of Methane Gas spews from the landfills at the Shipyard every year. One ton of Methane Gas equals 22 tons of Carbon Dioxide. So much for San Francisco calling is a Green City. So much for the filthy LIES that Mayor Gavin Newsom spews - each and every day.

The watershed at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is polluted and the United States Navy thinks nothing about it.

The U.S. Navy has failed to respect the First People of San Francisco:

Now, Lennar the Rogue Developer want to buy the Candlestick State Park some 40 acres and thinks it can get away with MURDER in broad daylight - never.

Wednesday, August 19, 2009 a hearing will be held in Sacramento to decide the fate of Candlestick Recreation Area.

California Senator Mark Leno has initiated Senate Bill 792 and is aiding Lennar the Rouge Developer. Aiding him Sophina Maxwell, Aurelious Walker, and Mayor Gavin Newsom.

In the meantime some so called White Environmentalists are representing the community - selling out the community. Not a single square inch should be given to Lennar. We want Lennar out of our community - now.
