The Tibet Post International
The Press of Tibet is an independent and non-profit media organization established on the 10th of March 2008 by a group of young Tibetans living in exile. On the 10th of December 2007, the Press of Tibet temporarily launched a trilingual website, http://www.thetibetpost.com, in English, Tibetan and Chinese. The Tibet Post International is sponsored by the South Tyrol Regional Parliament, Italy. Without their support, we would not be able to continue providing up-to-date press coverage of Tibetan issues.

“Freedom of information is... the touchstone of all the freedoms.”
U.N. Freedom of Information Conference, 1948
Tibetans residing in Tibet maintain the hope and expectation that Tibetan culture and traditions will be preserved by those living in exile through information technology, to which Tibetans in the homeland are denied access by the Chinese government. Through the activities of the Press of Tibet, the Tibetan community in exile aims to build a strong Tibetan media network. Our main objective is to improve communication between the different Tibetan exile communities.
