Ryan Souza, 2009 conscientious objector from the USAF, and Matt Edwards, who was discharged as a CO from the Marines the day that the US began illegal war on Iraq, are joining Dahr to describe their personal journeys from the military rank and file to members of veterans' anti-war/militarism organizations. Ryan volunteers locally with the Farmer Veteran Coalition and the Homeless Garden Project while studying sustainable agriculture and energy systems at Cabrillo College. Matt graduated from UCSC in 2006, where he was involved with Students Against War. He is a member of DAM- Dialogues Against Militarism and will be traveling to meet Isreali military resisters in November. Ryan Souza was counseled by a member of the GI Rights Network Santa Cruz chapter- this event is a fundraiser for the SC GI Rights Network affiliate and DAM.
