Local communities are coming together at farmers' markets to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables grown on nearby farms. Buying directly from local growers is good for the local economy; it's also better for the environment because locally grown produce uses less shipping fuel to get to market.

Enjoy the summer's abundance at your local farmers' market in Concord at Todos Santos Park. Senator Mark DeSaulnier's district staff will have a table there from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 4.

Bring your questions and receive information about county and state services. A variety of free informational materials will be available, including information to help you reduce your carbon footprint.
