We are all proud of the Raging Grannies and thank them for all their hard work, appearing everywhere, especially during the week when most of us cannot get to these demonstrations. To the viciously anti-women idiot: Women are 51% of the population, the majority; we all get old; and your mother is a woman who will get old and is a member of the majority of the population. If your mother is irrelevant, so are you. What is needed are more labor union banners at all demonstrations and LABOR MUST SHUT DOWN CALIFORNIA IN A GENERAL STRIKE. Most people are not feeling the crisis as they do not have children in school and are not receiving benefits. Shutting down the entire court system, both criminal and civil, would be a good start as far more likely voters have something to do with that as at least half of the voting population is connected to the legal community. HOW MANY UNPAID DAYS WILL IT TAKE FOR LABOR TO FINALLY SHUT DOWN CALIFORNIA?
I gather from the comment in support of the Raging Grannies that some angry person previously wrote something nasty that no longer appears among the comments. Odd, but right wing comments are usually nasty and often ungrammatical.
I am glad that the Raging Grannies took the time to support the needs of the folks who use important public programs. The tax burden has over the last few decades been lifted more and more from the corporations and dumped more and more on the middle class. I understand that even people who used to be middle class are having a hard time. And now they are going after the most defenseless members of society. It makes me ill to see the budget balanced on the backs of the poor, the disabled and the young. Sad, sad, sad.
