Event Description:
Spend a few hours with Loren and Lisa Poncia at Stemple Creek Ranch and see where the Poncia family has been ranching for over 100 years. We will host a BBQ featuring Stemple Creek Ranch grass-fed beef and lamb.

Stemple Creek Ranch raises 100% Angus all natural grass-fed beef and lamb. The animals eat organic clover and grass and are never subjected to artificial hormones, growth promotants, or antibiotics. We are environmentally conscious and value biodiversity in our pastures and riparian areas. We strive to work with mother nature to keep the land abundant and the animals healthy and happy.

We accomplish this by using a variety of techniques, including protecting creeks and adjacent land with cattle crossings, utilizing electric fences that can be reconfigured in response to changing conditions, planting native species on creek banks, and carefully monitoring grazing to allow these areas to remain productive and protect them from over use.

=========================================

The Bay Area Meat CSA is a network of Bay Area residents who cooperate to buy meat directly from local ranchers. It's the most cost-effective way to buy good, healthy, local meat and it's an opportunity to connect with the ranchers and processors whose work feeds us.

BAMCSA Ning just won a "Best of the East Bay" award in Diablo Magazine for being the "Best Way to Buy Meat." Congratulations to all the members!

Join us! We have lots of events just like this one!
