The 2009-2010 Media That Matters Film Festival
Each year, Movies on a Big Screen has presented the annual Media That Matters Film Festival, a compilation of socially conscious short films made by youth, student and independent filmmakers from around the world. Some of the topics covered in this year's include: homeless veterans, paper consumption in the US, the impacts on youth when parents are deported, the damaging effects of the US War on Drugs in Bolivia, the Carteret islanders (the first climate change refugees), independent journalists' fights against government control of media, and much much more!
