Physician needed for Iraq/Afghan Vet Retreat

Physician Needed -- July 30 - August 3

Friends,

The Coming Home Project has been collaborating with Iraq Action Group at UCSF for two years in producing live video conferences and archived trainings for all those who treat Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and families.

We also provide pro bono support and stress management retreats for veterans and their families. We recently hosted 120 family members with loved ones currently serving in Iraq or Afghanistan for four days at the Angela Center in Santa Rosa, CA. It was our 8th retreat and a powerful experience for all.

We are realizing that we need a physician, resident, or clinical nurse practitioner in residence full time at our retreats. There are two medical centers nearby in Santa Rosa but mostly there are a variety of less serious conditions that need evaluation and simple treatment. There would be an opportunity to help in other ways while not consulting on a medical issue.

Our next retreat is in Santa Rosa, July 30- August 3. Lodging, food and a modest honorarium are provided. If you are interested, let me know soon. If you can spread the word, I would be grateful.
