(CNN) -- A young Iranian woman named Neda is gunned down in one of the most iconic images of the last week. Another walks down the street, defiantly showing off her hair and body in a revealing dress. And still another woman says she's not scared of paramilitary forces -- no matter how many times she gets beaten.

I won't go to facebook to learn more, if there is more

also, any word on services being held for Neda in Iran? last I read, her family was forbidden from marking her death?
Tell everyone you know to come out to Justine Herman Plaza for Worldwide Vigil for Neda and in support of Iran's fight for JUSTICE this Friday evening!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is irrelevant if dead women were beautiful or not. This is insulting to the women' s liberation movement. Who wrote this garbage? Where is the concern for the women in the United States killed every day by police state violence on the streets and in the prisons, murdered by husbands and boyfriends for defending their rights, murdered by budget cuts so they cannot feed themselves, have adquate housing and obtain medical care? This is CIA/US government promoted violence and I do not see any protest of the USA's riots. At 8 p.m. on a Friday night, I am home, recovering from the workweek, a job where there are no pay raises, no vacations and no paid medical care. I certainly do not go to the cesspool known as the Financial District at night for anything. Why don't you hold your vigil in the workingclass Mission District at 24th and Mission, if you are so concerned about building international unity to protest some reactionary government?

Here's a similar video of a protester dying. There are probably going to kill a lot of the detained protesters too, as they did in the 1980s.

I showed up at the supposed demo at UN Plaza. Nobody was there. You are doing me and others a great disservice when you don't back up your words with actions.

not only have they been forbidden to mark her death, but now they themselves are nowhere to be found

also 70 professors who met with Mausavi yesterday were arrested as soon as they walked out the door

people are disappearing all over Tehran
