This Viva Palestina Convoy will represent the largest grassroots medical relief effort for Gaza in U.S. history. The Gaza Strip desperately needs medical aid. The strip is still reeling under a brutal blockade in the wake of its bombardment at the beginning of the year. Over 1,400 people were killed in that criminal Israeli assault and invasion, and thousands more lost limbs or were otherwise maimed by phosphorus bombs and other weapons.
