People often ask "I'm just one person, how can I possibly make a difference?"

If you're one of those people, here's your answer...
There is now a bill in Congress, H.R. 676 that makes the dream of affordable health insurance for every American a reality.

What can you do?

No Matter Where You Live in the U.S. You can find out who your Congressional Representative is and be connected with her/him by calling : (202) 224-3121

For San Francisco: Nancy Pelosi  (or Jackie Speier)
San Mateo County: Jackie Speier (or Anna Eshoo)
Santa Clara County: Anna Eshoo,(or Mike Honda or Zoe Lofgren)
Contact your Senators Diane Feinstein 415-393-0707 and Barbara Boxer 415-403-0100

When you Contact your members of Congress you may reach voice mail or your congressperson's aide. Just ask:

(1) that the single-payer model be represented at all health care reform hearings,
(2) that the Congressional Budget Office study the cost-effectiveness of a single-payer national health system
(3) that there be a full hearing to assess the merits of a single-payer system; and
(4) that he or she co-sponsor H.R. 676,  The United States National Health Care Act, or (in the case of senators) S. 703, the American Health Security Act of 2009.
