public forum: What is socialism? Can it happen here?

Date:
Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Time:
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Event Type:
Panel Discussion
Organizer/Author:
Christine DaRosa
Location Details:
110 Capp Street, @16th, 3rd floor

Capitalism is failing us, and socialism is being discussed again, but what do people mean by socialism? Come to this meeting for a serious discussion about socialism, what socialists mean by it, and how we might achieve it.

If you think we need better healthcare, free education, an end to racism, sexism and homophobia, workers' control rather than corporate control, an end to war, a sustainable relationship with the planet then come to this meeting and join a discussion about how we might achieve that in reality.

All are welcome. For more information, email missioniso [at] yahoo.com.
