San Francisco Veteran Producers Present:
A Vision For San Francisco Community Access TV with
The San Francisco Media Center's Plan For Community Access
and Discussion
Thursday June 18, 2009 6:00 PM
Veterans Building Rm 223
McAllister St & VanNess St. San Francisco
San Francisco cable access faces a crisis and at the same time a potential for real growth and development. Community access is the only vehicle for regular people in San Francisco to have a voice on cable television. As a result of the failure to use the full potential of community access there now will be the potential of a new organization managing the station.
A new organization has been formed called the San Francisco Media Center to rebuild community access and build San Francisco community access into a world media center that can provide voices for all the people, culture and news in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Media Center Project SFMC has presented a proposal to the city to re-organize community access and put the community and the producers in charge of San Francisco community access.
Come to this important meeting to learn what can do to revitalize community access and what the community, producers and programmers can do to make this happen come July 1 in San Francisco
Speakers will be veterans, community activists, community access producers and programmers
Sponsored by Video Archives Department and The Veteran
