NPR Tries to Erase Upton Sinclair's Work

Steve Inskeep and Renee Montagne in obedience to
the Morning Edition producer... gave a free commercial
to Hormel's Spam, the abbatoir offal
fed to men, women and children at homeless
shelters, giving them cancer, heart disease,
food poisoning. As usual there was a subliminal
message for the world's biggest unionbuster
and animal killer, Ronald McDonald.
How fitting that one of Hormel's media personnel
is named Craven.

Hormel's brutal slaughter methods were
featured by Upton Sinclair in his classic The Jungle.
Because of him the FDA was founded, but
rather than eliminating the cruelties of
the killing fields, it has mutliplied them.

Upton Sinclair in The Jungle (written after his investigation of Hormel in Austin Minnesota): The shriek was followed by another, louder and yet more agonizing..for once started upon that journey, the hog never came back. One by one the men hooked up the hogs and slit their throats. There was a line of hogs with squeals and lifeblood ebbing away.. until at last each vanished into a huge vat of boiling water (some still alive). The hogs were so innocent. They came so very trustingly. They were so very human in their protests. They had done nothing to deserve it.

brain stem material, because meat inspection
in the US is very lax, and Mad Cow testing
involves one tenth of 1%. The USDA, CDC,
and FDA have hidden Mad Cow Mad Pig Mad Fish
and other BSE deaths for decades under Veneman,
Glickman Vilsack etc.)
