June is also school graduation month, a wedding month (the season being June to September), and this weekend was the first sunny weekend in 3 weekends in San Francisco, for people who need to get out of the office, out of the urban scene and into the sun and swim in the sea. There is also a big problem for lots of us who sympathize: Small demonstrations, as this was clearly going to be since no big catastrophe was occurring as was happening in the December-January attack on Gaza, means that we are too visible to the Zionist fascists who show up and we will certainly lose our jobs if we are recognized. There are other things we can do besides show up at demonstrations so just remember for every person at the demonstration, there are many more who support the Palestinian liberation struggle. As the saying goes: one struggle; many fronts.

People don't get angry unless it's a Republican conducting the war. Whether it be the war on terror, communism or what have you, the people feel there is no need to shout at a Democrat.

Just put a democrat in power and people will sit back is all they have to do. You make it so easy for the ruling elite. Yeah, you know who you are. This directed exclusively to YOU!

When we’ve come to a point where it doesn’t matter if a Democrat’s rhetoric contradicts his or her own policy we set our selves up for more harm to be done to us than good. Obama has the same War policy as Bush.

If nobody supports what Obama is doing then why did they stay home today? Hmmmmm? Kind of odd isn’t it? It being a Saturday is a poor excuse for thousands of people to stay home. It's not urgent to people anymore just admit it. The anti-war movement is dead because people are too privileged to keep up.

If Bush was in power we would have seen thousands as usual come out in mass but because Obama and all his promises nobody came out. Is that clear enough for you, or still off topic?

Too many people are failing to make the same connection where all the things that wrong and oppressive are being done by people who are behind the scenes or behind the curtain. your perspective is ahistorical. you are inaccurately looking at one demo and trying to draw larger patterns out of it.

perhaps you forget all of the palestine demos in march. besides, palestine has never drawn the same number of protesters as has the war in iraq, and even while bush was running the show iraq protest numbers dropped significantly over the years, long before obama was ever in office

if you are looking for cause and effect, obama may be a part, but there are lots of other things going on and obama would be one small part, if even that. only ANSWER appears able to draw large numbers (bigger for iraq than palestine) and this wasn't even an answer demo.

It's good that so many people around the world are finally coming to their senses about what a corrupt baby-killing terrorist state Israel has become. It must be stopped.

A growing number of people in the West and the rest of the world believe that Israel is the biggest threat to Middle East peace generally, and that a stronger Iran will help deter Israel from bullying its neighbors and therefore will help keep a more balanced and stable situation in the Middle East.

Israel has already demonstrated a historical pattern of how it uses its one-sided balance of power against Palestinians. The world reacted with anger just a few months ago when Israel wielded its military power in a vastly disproportionate response to rockets (which were a response to Israel's occupation and unlawful annexing, etc.). Israel slaughtered hundreds of civilians and children in that prime example of what happens when there is no equal balance of power in the region. It was also an example that shows that Israel cannot be trusted to act responsibly when it possesses such weapons.

Did you hear about the mass arrests Sunday? Does anyone have more details? Is that why there was hardly any anti-Israel presence at Israel in the gardens?
