THE GMA PARTY LAKAS-KAMPI-CMD: THE NEW KBL PARTY

Los Angeles— “ The more it changes, the more it stays the same.”

When Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo announced the merger of the LAKAS-CMD and the KAMPI (the party she organized for her self) as LAKAS-KAMPI-CMD, yesterday, May 28 in Manila Hotel- it reminded us when the dictator Ferdinand Marcos formed the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) in 1979 as the administration party during martial law.

The KBL became the party that cheated the elections of April 6, 1978 when the opposition was swept aside and Senator Benigno Aquino place 22nd , the first among the losing candidates. The KBL became the super machinery that formed vigilantes implemented the “ tanod brigades”, the KKK movement and others to cheat in the referendums, plebiscites and elections until 1986.

Now, like the KBL - the newly merged party of GMA is out again preparing to cheat in the 2010 presidential elections.

GMA learned a lot from the dictator and is repeating history in another way, GMA is utilizing Secretary of Interior Ronaldo Puno in building the same Marcos machine to cheat and win its way in the 2010 elections. Using the full might of the civil and military machinery it will defend on this massive blitzkrieg to cheat in the elections.

GMA assurance that there will be elections in 2010 is too good to be true. Like Marcos, what she says can be construed as the opposite. If ever there will be elections she will make sure she is still secure in power, can control everything and the constitution be changed to her advantage.

But the US-Arroyo is up against the formidable enemy: the Filipino people. The position, the revolutionary forces and all democratic forces in the Philippines are not sleeping and will not succumb to this juggernaut without a fight. The fascist puppet regime of GMA days is numbered. The people united will never be defeated.
