6th Annual Golden Glass Wine Event will once again be a fundraiser for Slow Food San Francisco and it's programs. This year our focus is on Slow Food in Schools: school lunch reform and school gardens.

The 2009 Golden Glass will celebrate the efforts of over 100 international wine producers who strive to protect, nurture, and revive the indigenous and classic varieties of their regions. The wineries will be clustered in designated, regional areas throughout the pavilion to help attendees taste and learn about the regional and terroir nuances directly from the winemakers and proprietors themselves.

This year the Golden Glass, will introduce its first-ever Golden Glass Wine Competition designed to honor and support sustainable and terroir-expressive wines from around the globe. Judging for the 2009 Golden Glass Wine Competition is Chaired by renowned sommelier and educator, Charlie Arturaola, and judged by over a dozen acclaimed national wine experts. This will take place on June 16th-17th, 2009 at the Hotel Frank, San Francisco, CA and awards will be given out at the tasting event.

Thank you so much to our wonderful sponsors:
