Caravan For Justice III makes it to the floor in Sacramento and augurs well for JUSTICE.
Caravan of Justice III made it to floor in Sacramento and the Representatives took note. Six months ago the Representatives in Sacramento knew nothing about Bayview Hunters Point and the many issues linked to the Rogue Developer - Lennar. Two months ago the Representatives in Sacramento could not imagine that Representatives would initiate a Bill to bring about "Civilian Oversight" in the BART system and justice to Oscar Grant. Caravan for Justice has made many inroads and most of them in the right - places. And, there is more to come. The TERMINATOR has been put on notice.
When some small dedicated, fair minded leaders, educated on issues, decided three years ago to take on Lennar - most people thought what could a small group in the Bayview Hunters Point really achieve? But, as the days grew to weeks, to months, to years - our MOVEMENT - Stop Lennar Action Movement (SLAM) has grown strong.
Out of this MOVEMENT we decided to visit Sacramento and call our traveling movement to the Capitol - Caravan for Justice. Our very first Caravan for Justice is still vibrating all over the world. If you go to the site http://www.caravanforjustice.com you can still view the videos and feel the impact.
At our second Caravan for Justice we highlighted the Oscar Grant injustice and this fact brought many changes. Two legislators Tom Ammiano and Leland Yee decided to take on the challenge and initiate a bill that would bring "Civilian Oversight" to the Bay Area Rapid Transportation (BART). SLAM and other organizations too many to mention supported it. Law Enforcement opposed it - but, it must be mentioned we the people put crooked, unjust, inept law enforcement officers - on notice. And there is more to come.
Today, May 26, 2009 we gathered from all over the Bay Area and other cities and counties to talk about Three Strikes, Education, Incarceration, Gang Injunctions, the many injustices that most people of color suffer daily in their neighborhoods. This nonsense must stop - now.
Take a look at the many gathered and the thousands that will stand shoulder to shoulder in the future on the steps of the Capitol to voice for justice and equality as this Nation proclaims but rarely delivers to many citizens of color:

The Economic Crisis has brought Sacramento to its knees. The recent Propositions passed by the constituents of California has sent a clear message to Governor of California and the Representatives - please represent - and if you do not - we the people will take you to task.
Caravan for Justice represents the people and the pulse of the current mood of the constituents.
One passed California Proposition took the Representatives to task and limited their salaries in the future. If these so called Representatives do not deliver the voters could limit their term to four years. That would sent a chill down the spines of those that sit in Sacramento and wallow in matters mundane - that do not really matter to the people at large.
More and more incarceration and gang injunction are deeply felt by most people of color - all over California. Our jails are full of old folks that cannot walk and many cannot see. These frail folks cannot kill a fly but the system spends thousands and uses dubious accounting methods to fill the coffers of Correctional Officers and the wicked Associations linked to the very corrupt Correctional Officers.
Over 20,000 of those incarcerated are not citizens and could easily be transferred to the Federal System. The money spent on these folks could be freed for our schools.
There are 58,000 more that really do not belong to the worst jail system in the world. Most of these folks have been jailed for petty crimes and fallen prey to the Three Strikes Laws that discriminates and was crafted to slowly kill and destroy those that are poor and come from disadvantaged families.
When thousands gather and the astute speakers address Gang Injunction and the failed Three
Strikes Law - believe me the Legislators in Sacramento are listening. Senator Roderick D. Wright already has a Bill that tackles some aspects of the Gang Injunction. He has been backed by Senator Leland Yee - but, surely there is more to be done and now these Legislators have the backing of thousands of people that will support them.
Sacramento has failed our children and the less money we spend on our Public School and children - the more California will have to pay to fix the problems that are in the pipeline.
Law Enforcement for all practical purposes has become a para-military organization. Now, we are seeing officers shot to death not one but four. We must think about this situation. After all - there are elements that have and will have far more powerful weapons and bullets then most Law Enforcement have. A lot of the anger that is brought into the neighborhood is brought from the jails.
Never for a moment doubt that jails rehabilitate. Jails create monsters and I can tell you that first hand. Really speaking by the end of any five year jail terms most people should have been able to get some degree or certificate. In reality all these incarcerated poor souls get is static, torture and treated like trash. This nonsense must change.
There is a perfect storm beginning to create a situation that will bring so called powerful forces to their knees. The present economic crisis will take a strong grip on California soon - it has taken a grip in the rest of the United States. Things will get worse not better and those that use authority to demean innocent folks will for the first time - stand to bear the wrath of the people.
Enough is enough.
A Swine Flu situation in our jails will kill thousands but those impacted most will be the Correctional Officers. California and other Incarceration Businesses will have to think outside the box - and if conditions do not improve - millions will loose their lives.
We got some sense when the Katrina Hurricane brought large areas to a halt. We saw our Nation fail to response. In fact today very little has been done after all these years to the poorest sections that were affected by Katrina in New Orleans and the extended affected area.
Before 2012 there will be one single incident that will cause tremendous floods. A thousand times more powerful then the Tsunami that we heard of that took place off the coast of Indonesia. The alignment of the planets will tilt the axis of the Earth - much as it was affected slightly by the Tsunami that hit Indonesia and sent shills as far as Kenya. Few know about this but most Scientist do.
No one can take advantage of the poor and the disadvantaged forever and ever. God in His infinite mercy will strike the unjust - just as He has the wicked - recorded in the books that tell the truth.
California has been wicked to the First People of California, the Native Americans. Thieves stole the land, killed Native American children and women, raped the women and committed horrendous crimes. Edicts were sent from the Governors to kill Native American - and a scalp could fetch one $5. Now, if this is a crime not crying to heaven for justice - I do not know what is.
All this as recent as 1924.
The worst crime that those at the Capitol committed is the rape of Mother Earth. The once pristine forest, lakes, rivers, hills and mountains, the water-shed have been polluted by GREEDY bastards. Here is San Francisco - the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. They stole the water from Hetch Hetchy from the First People. Now, they are in the business of mining rocks and polluting more in the Sunol area.
Our journey to Sacramento is not easy - but those that make it to Sacramento feel they have to represent. So, one shouts and screams and sounds the clarion call - and waits and waits and waits. But, God sees it all - and once day suddenly - just like that it happens. That day is round the corner. Aho.
