Public Access in SF Saved?
Public Access TV in SF may have been saved.
Today at approx. 2pm the San Francisco Board of Supervisors once again voted on ordinance 090287 or the State Video Franchise Ordinance.
The ordinance was passed, but with an amendment.
The amendment was; the 3% that was originally in the write up will be lowered to 1.15%
The vote was 8 to 5 which is a veto proof vote, so it does not have to go past the Mayor.
Avalos Yes
Eric Mar Yes
Mirkarimi Yes
Maxwell Yes
Alioto-Pier No
Campos Yes
Chu No
Chiu Yes
Daly Yes
Dufty Yes
Elsbernd No
Also at that meeting there was mention of a grant coming from Comcast that can go towards the Operational money. I will inform later on what exactly that meant. And this development does not mean our jobs are saved. As a matter of fact I am still expecting to get laid-off.
I will release developments as soon as their are available.
