Just Cause Oakland is part of a growing chorus of groups and individuals getting the word out about some of the damaging initiatives on the ballot for the Special Election coming up in just a few weeks.

We are part of a citywide collaboration, Oakland Rising, that is working to build the electoral power of our communities and coming up in a few weeks, we need to exercise that power to stop California's lawmakers from Balancing the Budget on Our Backs! And YOU can help.

Join Oakland Rising in saying No to Props 1D and 1E in the May 19th CA Special Election. Come to a phonebanking night May 11 - 14th.

Oakland Rising says NO on Props 1D and 1E, which would take money from children and cut vital health services. These Propositions will impact the lives of over 350,000 of California's most vulnerable folks and at most will only make up 0.5% of the CA Budget deficit.

These are not the creative solutions we need and now is not the time to balance the budget on our backs! This election is a critical time to send a progressive message to Sacramento on the economy & budgets & to build our collective capacity for upcoming local issues.

Oakland Rising will be phonebanking to defeat Props 1D and 1E and to increase turnout among low-income communities of color. Oakland Rising will provide everyone with a comprehensive training, a phone, food and drinks. Can you join us and help send our progressive message to Sacramento?
