Gabe Meyers Arrested at BART Board Meeting, 4/9/09: video
Gabe Meyers' first court hearing is this morning and there is a call for supporters to pack the courtroom and to pressure Oakland City officials to drop the charges against him and other Oscar Grant protesters. In a statement on Indybay, Gabe Meyers took responsibility for throwing red paint on BART General Manager Dorothy Dugger at the April 9th BART Board meeting and he explains why he took such an action.

The main problem was timing. He picked a moment at the meeting when others were in the middle a speech asking for a response from the BART board, demanding that a promise be kept. He could have waited until the end of the meeting or found them in the parking lot.
What an obnoxious argument, Waylay. And what a corrupt murderous system BART is, I completely understand why someone like Gabe Meyers would throw paint like that.
