Hi friends-

Sometime between now and June 3, the CA Supreme Court will announce an important
decision for civil rights: they have the opportunity to overturn Prop 8! We hope
they'll do the right thing, but we're not counting on it...

If the Supreme Court upholds Prop 8, we will mobilize again in civil disobedience at
the site of the announcement in San Francisco. We're working with an interfaith
group of clergy to organize a peaceful street blockade in the spirit of nonviolent
resistance, with the message SEPARATE IS NOT EQUAL.

Check out this call to action from Rev. Greg Stewart, drag queen Pollo Del Mar, and
members of One Struggle, One Fight:

Will you join us for this action? There are three ways you can get involved:

1. Participate in Civil Disobedience: We will be risking arrest for this action. If
you are interested and have questions, please email action [at] onestruggleonefight.com.

2. Be a Legal Observer: Work with a team of folks to monitor all interactions
between the police and protestors. You do not need to be a lawyer to be a Legal
Observer.

3. Be a Peacekeeper: Watch the vibe of the crowd, and help de-escalate any potential
conflicts.

This Friday, we'll have a Nonviolence Training from 5-9:30 p.m. It'll be a great
chance to meet the community, and there will be specific trainings for the action
affinity group, as well as each of our support teams.

If you're interested in getting involved, please reply to this message and let us know!

And if you're wondering what civil disobedience is all about, check out these video
interviews with members of One Struggle, One Fight:

See you in the streets,
