Harm reduction is a public health movement and substance abuse approach most well known for safe sex campaigns and needle exchange programs, though the principles of harm reduction are applicable to all harmful behavior that we would like to minimize in our lives, not just for drug and alcohol use including: eating disorders, cutting, unhealthy relationship patterns (co-dependent), sex as escapism or compulsion, etc. Great for people wanting to explore alternatives to the 12 step model
