On Saturday, May 16 at 7:30pm, the Santa Cruz Peace Chorale will present "Many Voices, One Land; Songs of Peace & Justice in the American Tradition." This unique choral concert will feature songs spanning over three centuries of American social justice music, works that inspire and uplift while also giving voice to many parts of American history that have traditionally been untold.

The Santa Cruz Peace Chorale, directed by Aileen Vance, is now proudly in its 7th season. Originally founded as an informal sing-along group, the Chorale has grown into a successful non-auditioned, mixed-voice chorus where all are welcomed regardless of musical education, finances, or ability. The result of this inclusive philosophy is a spirited and joyous community of harmony, which reaches across borders, celebrates diversity, and sings out for peace and justice. Come join us for an evening of great music and stay after the concert for our annual strawberry shortcake social, featuring locally grown organic strawberries and Pete Seeger's shortcake recipe. This year's special event is funded in part by a grant from the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County.
