Anarchist Convergence: Bigger Than a Breadbox

by Santa Cruz Anarchist Convergence (santacruzanarchist [at] riseup.net)
"Take part in discussions, get books and literature, engage, explore, and learn."

bigger-than-a-breadbox1Bigger than a Breadbox

Just going over the plans for the Anarchist Convergence with a friend. Ho shit. This thing is huge.  This is your chance to find out more about anarchism and those mysterious anarchists.  Take part in discussions, get books and literature, engage, explore, and learn.

Four days of non-stop yumminess. Four days! A bookfair, workshops, panels, speakers, free skool conference, a kick-off show, a squaredance, bike rides, a punk show, camping, a picnic, and more.

Tons of Workshops Scheduled

You brilliant, beautiful, sneaky people submitted almost forty proposals for workshops, panels, and discussions to address issues of community inter-relatedness, the Green Scare, security culture, the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, DIY infrastructure, applied anarchisms, and resistance. The FreeSkool Conference, happening simultaneously and open to everyone, will explore starting and running freeskools, deconstructing public education, freeskools and anarchism, and more philosophical and practical discussion on skill-sharing networks and challenging institutional control of learning. Workshops have been scheduled between 10 am and 6 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and the schedule of workshops will be posted here in the next day or so.
