International Workers Day & the struggle for immigrant rights

Commemorate International Workers’ Day by reviewing its history and relevance to our struggles today. We will also hear from activists who participated in the day’s marches and rallies, calling for the rights of all workers and a stop to the raids and deportations of immigrant workers. There are no borders in the workers' struggle!!

Film: Accelerated Under-Development: In the Idiom of Santiago Alvarez

Join us on International Workers’ Day, for a special film presentation by award-winning revolutionary filmmaker, Travis Wilkerson. Wilkerson’s films have been featured in festivals such as Sundance and San Francisco International Film Festival. The film “Accelerated Under-Development: In the Idiom of Santiago Alvarez,” uses the innovative documentaries of Cuban filmmaker Santiago Álvarez to revisit the changes that have taken place in Cuba during the 20th century?
