S.F. Public Utilities Commission wastes millions of gallons of water from Hetch Hetchy.

by Francisco Da Costa
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission does not like to be told that it is wasting millions of gallons of water. Sacred water that was stolen from the First People living in and around Hetch Hetchy. Today, the City and County of San Francisco continues to waste millions of gallons of water - while pointing fingers at others. At City Hall in San Francisco - the Rest Rooms are a running like a water fall. While, some conservation gurus - preach about conserving water. Start in your own back yard. Tell your Metrosexual Mayor Gavin Newsom to conserve water before preaching garbage to others - all over California.
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission has been hard on its Regional Partners - while all the time wasting millions of gallons of water in San Francisco.

It slogan to conserve water is a JOKE.

Daily millions of gallons of water leak from the over 1200 miles of clean water pipes. Most of them are over 75 years old.

For years we have been asking the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to create a capacity fee that is fair.

After 7 years it took the SFPUC to understand the concept and then - enforce the concept in the stupid fashion it has.

There was a time when Pat Martel was the General Manager when the SFPUC did not have a sound Billing System.

It took years to put the Billing System in order. So, for years it not only wasted precious water - but it failed to collect large sums of money from the customers using Hetch Hetchy drinking water.

Then came Susan Leal and she took the SFPUC down the cesspool. She was fired. And, now we have Ed Harrington.

Before Lewis and Clarke came to California a little over 200 years ago - most of California was pristine. Then came the strangers and screwed it all. Look at the concrete - jungles.

Today, in less then 250 years we have the worst type of pollution in the air, in the water, and on land. Thousands of toxic hot spots and the once pristine watershed - very polluted.

Once there were millions of species insects, birds, frogs, animals of every kind, fish - you name it. Today over 70% have been decimated by the polluting strangers.

Where ever these strangers go they have created - cesspools.

Where ever they go - they have abused Mother Earth.

Where they go - they are looked down upon - today, they pretend to be Tree Huggers.

And these fools have the audacity after polluting Earth everyday - to have Earth Day - and honor folks from far off places - when they in San Francisco and California - have polluted the Environment so much. What a shame.

The lovely redwoods that stood tall and majestic have been cut. Each tree brings a $100,000 and it a shame that for the years - the GREEDY kill the trees to make money.

When these strangers fish - they take it all. When the mine - they want it all. When they see it - they want it all. When they killed the Buffalo they killed them all - not so much for their meant but their - fur. Then left mountains of Buffalo heaped one on top of the other - to rot.

The rivers and lakes were pristine and now they are all polluted. Look at the Beaches of California and you will see pollution.

It is not uncommon for raw sewage to find its way to the Beaches - and the authorities forced to shut the beaches to swimmers. Much as it is easy to find raw sewage in the Bay of San Francisco.

The San Francisco Bay is filthy and continues to be bombarded by PCBs, mercury, lead, radiological elements - and most of these so called Regulatory Agencies - think nothing of it - money is all that matters - to these EVIL people.

Once in San Francisco alone there were thousands of species of frogs.

That is what I look for the frogs. If the frog population is growing and health - most everything is in place. If the frog population is suffering - I know we are in very deep trouble.

Here is San Francisco we are in very deep trouble.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) has been slow to fine the culprits that pollute.

It was slow to fine Lennar - a Rogue Developer that polluted large areas in the Bayview Hunters Point with Asbestos structures and continues to do so - to this day.

Lennar had over 380 Notices of Violation - and should have been fined $38 million - but was fined a measly - $515,000.

In the mean time the SF Public Utilities Commission is aiding and abetting the laying down pipes laden with Asbestos Structures that will further pollute the Treatment Plant, the Bay and all the other infrastructure where the polluted water that runs in the already polluted infrastructure in place. All this happening at Hunters Point on Parcel A.

SFPUC is an Enterprise Agency that has for years - taken a lot of tax payers' money - and given little or nothing in return.

It has turned its back on the First People of the Hetch Hetchy area and has BLOOD on its hands.

The SFPUC Commissioners think they know it all. In their foolishness they have forgotten they are idiots - and have not done much - to conserve accept to point fingers at others - and those that truly conserve outside San Francisco.
