PE'AH GARDEN
Mission: By growing food for those in need at our cemetery in Colma, Congregation Emanu-El members perform the mitzvah of feeding the hungry. Our garden name, Pe'ah (corners), derives from Leviticus 19, which commands us to not harvest the corners of the field but to leave them for the poor and the stranger. Help us feed the hungry and enjoy the beautiful outdoors at the same time. Our harvest is donated to the San Francisco Food Bank.
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Sandy Rechtschaffen, Social Justice Coordinator, at sandyr [at] emanuelsf.org or leave a message at (415) 751-2541 x 177.
Come join us to plant 400 broccoli.
