sticks and stones #2: deadline mayday
this is official announcement that submissions for sticks and stones #2 will be accepted until may 1st, 2009. this is so that it can come out in time for the santa cruz anarchist convergence (santacruzanarchist.org), aka "hella anarchy week." contributions of any sort are welcome, again the idea is to have a printed forum and mouthpiece for the diverse voices of resistance in this region, an "anti-sentinel" if you will. and hopefully much more.

- solidarity with the aeta 4 (fuck pergolesi!)
- pacific ave police state (fuck the sentinel!)
- action reports like bank robberies, high school riots and broken windows in the night
- tristan anderson and solidarity with the intifada
- stolen lives: richard lua, tasers and police violence (in the region)
- essays on personal politics and anti-patriarchy
- reflections on the counter-lrdp struggle
- d-q, black mesa and indigenous struggles
- local poetry
collaboration on any of these would be welcome as well as any other content relating to this region's realities from a radical and anti-authoritarian perspective.
i'm also especially interested in artwork and photography include since the first issue included the work of several locals, and this one doesn't have any art yet.
thanks to anyone who gave feedback on #1. there is a stack of fresh copies at sub rosa by the way!
(anyone who sees the value in local underground press should consider stepping up to help me edit and produce this beyond #2 as well by the way. i may be leaving town even before #3 comes to exist! i can teach you about computerized graphic design and photocopy scams.)
