Come join the SFBA as we help make this annual “festival of bugs” a success. The club will have a cage, within which we will have a hive of live bees. A beekeeper periodically will enter the cage and open the hive. From the security of being on the other side of the screening, attendees will get a chance to see “up close and personal” the bees, larvae, brood, pollen, nectar and honey on frames withdrawn from the hive. SFBA also will have a table where we will offer tastings of members’ honey from neighborhoods all over the city, and we will offer members’ honey and club logo items for purchase.
