Richard Becker on:

The Deepening Economic Crisis: Causes, Effects, Solutions

Richard Becker explores the real causes of the present recession/depression both apparent -- the housing bubble, the deliberate inflation of housing prices and loans, and wild speculation -- and more long-term underlying problems. It will address how millions of people are being negatively affected both directly through loss of homes, jobs, health care etc., and by the massive cutbacks in state and local budgets. He will address the measures that have been taken with regard to the “crisis”, who has benefited from the $8 trillion bailout, and what needs to be done to help the growing numbers of people who are being harshly affected by the crisis.

Richard Becker is the Western Regional Coordinator of the International A.N.S.W.E.R.-Act Now to Stop War and End Racism-Coalition and member of its National Steering Committee.
