Albany Earth Day Celebration and Clean-up
When: Sunday April 19th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Where: Albany Waterfront, foot of Buchanan Street Celebrate this Earth Day by exploring Albany’s shoreline: ▪ Discover the diversity of creatures - plant, animal, and other - that live along the edge of the bay. ▪ Search the beach for trash and treasures ▪ Create art with found objects ▪ And thank the earth by cleaning it up as we enjoy these fun activities! Wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring your own water bottle and gloves if you have them. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Parents, students, teachers: attend the event and enter to win a free presentation for your class. Open to Albany K-12 schools; our staff will provide an indoor or outdoor program of your choice. One entry per person, so the more students and parents who attend the event the better your chances of winning. This event is sponsored by the City of Albany and coordinated by the Watershed Project.
