Bring old (dirty) needles in exchange for new free packaged needles. No catch, their totally FREE! It’s one for one, so however many you bring, we will exchange one for each one you give us. For those that don’t have needles, we will start all folks off with 20 syringes, in return, we expect folks to hold on to used needles & bring them back at next needle exchange. We will also have other free needs. Cotton balls cookers, condoms, alternative recovery literature pamphlets, and more.

Modesto Needle Exchange - A Street based service for Harm Reduction

Modesto Needle Exchange is made of an autonomous group of folks directed at attacking disease spread to
the community through sharing of needles/syringes. We provide anything from Free needles/syringes to Free condoms.
By facing the facts of reality, that heroin, methamphetamine, & other narcotic use through intravenous injection isn't going away or hasn't declined by the words "Just Say No" slogans of the 1980's or LA Police Chief's Daryl Gates DARE programs of the 1990's & knowing the Drug War is a farce, we are able to take the steps necessary in combating this plague on our loved ones, communities, & brothers/sisters. The County of Stanislaus Board of Supervisors & City of Modesto Officials say we are just "spreading addiction". We beg to differ & while they sit back & complain, we are actually providing a safe street service with a mission.

PUBLIC HEALTH, NOT PROFITS!

List of Free materials distributed by Modesto Needle Exchange:
*Tourniquets (street term - Ties)
*Cotton Balls in (regular & pellet form)
*Cookers
*Alcohol Swabs
*Needles/Syringes (different varieties)
*Sterile Water Packets

Confidentiality:
MNE does not talk about others outside the program (meaning; when clients {needle/syringe users} come to make an exchange, shit talk, gossip, or any other rumors or language that alienates others will not be tolerated & anyone doing so, will be asked politely to leave).
MNE doesn’t judge ones autonomous decision making.
