The Summit is FREE to participants ($10 may be applied for those who are interested in Continuing Education Credits – see attached flyers for more details), and will be conveniently located in Downtown Oakland (accessible by BART and public transit, plus parking options in the vicinity). The focus of the Summit will be to raise awareness about problem gambling, ways to prevent it, and resources available to help gamblers and their loved ones. The Summit will feature cutting-edge research from experts in the field, personal stories from recovering problem gamblers and family members of problem gamblers, and breakout sessions focusing on various different subject areas (pls. see Registration Form to select breakout sessions you would like to attend). The goal for the day is to empower more service providers and community members alike to be more equipped to address problem gambling in their professional and personal life.
Who should attend? Clinicians, Social Workers, Addiction Counselors, Mental Health Staff, Case Workers, Direct Service Providers, Prevention Staff, Health Care Workers, & General Public interested in issue of problem gambling.
